Sections

Joining a Section

ALP incorporates Sections representing library sectors (public, school, special,
academic, archives), members of which are represented in the Senate. It also
supports the formation of special interest groups, dedicated to pursuing activities
pursuant to ALP’s mission in terms of promoting neutrality, free inquiry, and
freedom of speech.

Each ALP Section may meet as often as they would like, but the only required annual meeting shall occur during the ALP Summit annual meeting where officers are elected and major business of the section is conducted. Officers of each ALP Section are elected for terms of two years and may serve additional terms in accordance with the ALP Bylaws.

You must be a member to join a section.
